Frolicking Frog Winery is located on the Westside of Atascadero on Hwy. 41 on Frog Pond Mountain. A 5..3 acre place nestled on the mountains among the oaks with a coastal influence is where all of wines are produced. Stu is a Goldsmith and Artist - working with gold, silver and cast bronze for his sculptures and Winemaker. Stu and Maria have been making wine since 1989.

In the fall of 1989, the first wine was made from their estate of old Mission grapes that were planted in 1971. Stu and Maria associate winemaking, "like a romantic journey and expression of art". As the owners of the Atascadero based winery, "Frolicking Frog" (formerly EROS Cellars) since 2000, their first commercial vintage was made in 2003. The wine was a Cabernet Sauvignon from a small family owned vineyard in San Miguel, and garnered awards at both State and local level wine competitions.

The winery have since bottled 7 vintages to date, of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Petite Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel Rose and Zinfandel, with a 450 case production, by choice. All of the fruit is sourced predominately from the Paso Robles Appellation. The winery does not have a Tasting Room, but rather by an appointment only visits.

Frolicking Frog Winery's vision is that wine tasting is an adventurous journey of discovery, "you know what you like" and we desire to deliver that unique wine experience in every glass. The Wine Club is called, "Horny Frogs". In Vino Veritas!
